Cockroach Control

Cockroaches are one of the most feisty and resilient pests to ever walk the Earth. Its ability to adapt to harsh conditions and the ever changing environment makes it one of the longest surviving living pest in the world today. Across the world, there are estimated 3000 different species of cockroaches. In Singapore, its common to only find 3 types of these loathed pests roaming among us.

1.) American cockroach (Periplaneta Americana)

2.) Brown banded cockroach (Supella longipalpa)

3.) German cockroach (Blatella germanica)

Diseases

When it comes to cockroaches infestations or sightings, the thoughts that first come to mind for many would be the fear of its morbid looking, brown and scaly back; its seemingly infinite scary hairy legs; not to forget that awful looking black spot we call a head; with 2 antennas protruding and scouring about, like as if they have a life of their own.

While it's not wrong to be overwhelm by the horrid looks and appearance of cockroaches, one perhaps should be aware of the dangerous diseases these pests could potentially spread if there are no proper cockroach pest control measures in place.

1.) Typhoid
Typhoid, which is a known possible infection from any cockroach infestation, which can lead to high fever, vomiting and diarrhea. Fatal cases have been reported in the past.

2.) Polio
Polio is a known disease that causes paralysis when one's spinal cords are affected. In short, this could potentially made a healthy person infected and become paralyzed as a result.

3.) Dysentery
Dysentery is an intestinal infection. The inflammation would cause stomach cramps, aches and also severe diarrhea with blood often being dispensed in the process. This could be potentially fatal with little to no hydration supported.
